An exceptional army cadet corps in Esquimalt, BC that was founded in 1953.
2483 PPCLI RCACC was founded in 1953 and is one of the last remaining cadet corps in BC to be affiliated with the PPCLI. 2483 have helped develop youth into exceptional leaders who've gone on to lead successful lives.
Over the past decade, cadets from 2483 have trained across Canada in skills such as leadership, navigation, adventure sports, music, drill, physical fitness, and marksmanship. Some have excelled in their fields and gone on to train and compete in England, Wales, Scotland, Iceland, France, and Argentina.
The Cadet Movement gives youth the tools to excel both within the program as well as in school and work. The Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC) is made up of hundreds of Canadian Forces Officers whose sole responsibility is to develop and train youth within the cadet program. Many are former cadets, but all bring life experience to what they teach their cadets.
2483 is honoured to have a devoted staff of CIC Officers, Regular Force members, and Civilian Volunteers.
