The Trout River Environmental Committee works to restore the natural integrity of the Trout River watershed.
In 1999 TREC was incorporated with the stated purpose of restoring and conserving the natural integrity of the Trout River watershed and to promote good environmental stewardship in the drainage basin. Currently, TREC participates in a range of acitvities including watershed management, community engagement and environmental education.
