We are a local Not For Profit Community and Family Thrift Store in Cochrane, Alberta owned and operated by Treasures for Your Home Society

Cochrane "Home Treasures" concept evolved May 2002. A need was identified for a used furniture and household goods store within the community. In October 2002 the Cochrane Women's Housing Committee, with the assistance of the Town of Cochrane Family and Community Support Services, opened the store.

The mission of Treasures For Your Home Society is to promote successful living, sustainability and community building by encouraging development of affordable housing, education, empowerment and public advocacy.

Cochrane Home Treasures is mostly volunteer driven and we are always accepting new volunteers to help us in our day-to-day operations. If you would like to become a volunteer, please contact Tina Branscombe, Manager/Volunteer Co-ordinator, at 403-851-9974

We currently are accepting donations on Mondays thru Saturdays during normal business hours.

Cochrane Home Treasures accepts furniture, household appliances, housewares, electronics, jewelry, and children toys. ALL DONATIONS MUST BE IN CLOSED BOXES.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following:
-Large household appliances (ovens, fridges, BBQs, etc.)
-Construction materials
-Encyclopedias/text books/Reader's Digest or National Geographic Books
-Skis and Ski Racks
-Large television cabinets
-Window Blinds
-Infant Car Seats & Non-Regulation baby items
-Personal Hygiene Items & Humidifiers
-Clothing
-Computers, Printers, and Typewriters
-Dishware or glassware that is chipped, cracked, badly scratched or has a logo
-Furniture that is badly worn, stained or ripped
-Items that are not working, rusted or stained
-Televisions without the component jacks or remotes

**Please note that all items donated must be in good working condition and in closed boxes**
